Patrice Garrison is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) based out of Mercer County, New Jersey. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Kean University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University, and a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from Caldwell University. She has experience as a Child Study Team Case manager and understands the intricacies of running an IEP meeting, developing an IEP, and ensuring that the individualized plan is appropriate and executed with fidelity.
She is a former Director of Special Services in Trenton, New Jersey. Currently she is the Clinical Director of Autism Services in Newark, NJ overseeing all Autism programming for all sites and service providers. She supervises all Autism Services for adults and families that includes Adult Day Programs. and Residential Homes.
Patrice Garrison has over 12 years of experience working within Special Education and over 10 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Recognizing the importance of children meeting developmental milestones and how this can impact their overall well-being, Patrice Garrison's research interests include child development, severe problem behavior, social skills, Parent Training, Safety Training for First Responders, and Education Development. She understands the importance of assisting families of loved ones who are experiencing social and/or learning challenges, as well as behavior challenges. The passion behind Step by Step Learning and Development stems from the desire to provide individuals and their families with the tools necessary to live their best life.
